Extrusion Line With Yaskawa Motion and Gefran Control

For a long time till now Acero srl and its sister company Bellini srl have been providing servbices to their customers thanks to the support of partner suppliers such as YASKAWA, SIEMENS and GEFRAN.

This is the case of the revamping of an extrusion line in which Acero srl and Bellini srl were entrusted with the realisation of the extruder control, regulation and power switchboard by a primary user in the sector.
Following the customers specifications, the design of the two switchboards, the functional diagrams and the identification of the components and equipment suitable for the start-up and regulation of the chosen motor of 108 kW, 688 Nm, 225 A were realised.

Thanks to the collaboration with YASKAWA engineers, control was opted for using a frequency converter from the GA700 110/132 kW range with integrated EMC Filter C3.
For the regulation of the loops of the individual 9 temperatures, the traditional solution was opted for through the use of GEFRAN 48X96 1200 series temperature controllers combined with the new series of GRSH static units: proven and reliable components.
All protections and disconnections were entrusted to SIEMENS low-voltage equipment.
